For online ordering, we absolutely recommend getting steamed crabs over live. The issue with live crabs is, since they are very vulnerable to changes in temperature and movement, they tend to die during transit. Normal mortality rates can be in excess of 15% or up to the entire order. To maintain a quality customer experience, we only ship pre steamed blue crabs.
