Ingredients Required to make Baked Crab Cakes:

To SHOP NOW with this simple baked crab cake recipe, you’re going to need the following ingredients:

  • 12 ounces of cooked crab (remove all pieces of shell!) We use Cameron’s lump Maryland crab meat
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ¼ cups of panko (Japanese crispy bread crumb mixture)
  • ¼ cups of diced celery
  • ¼ cup of mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup of minced chives
  • ¼ teaspoon of hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup of chives finely chopped

Ingredients for the Roasted Red Pepper Aioli:

  • 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup of chopped roasted red peppers
  • 1 tablespoon of finely cut chives
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

This should yield about ½ cup of aioli.

Now onto the cooking!

Baked Crab Cakes Cooking Directions:

First, preheat your oven to 475 degrees.

Let’s make sure there are no remaining pieces of shell anywhere within your crab meat!

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, egg, mustard, hot sauce, celery and chives. Add the crab meat and a ¼ cup of panko and then mix gently.

After everything is mixed, grab some of the mixture and start making cakes. This mixture should yield about two dozen crab cakes.

Spread out the remainder of the panko mixture on a plate, or a shallow bowl and start coating the cakes in this mixture. Remember to coat the crab cake on all sides.

Throw the crab cakes into your pre-heated oven for 15-18 minutes, and SHOP NOW on the roasted red pepper aioli.

To make the red pepper aioli, mix the remaining mayonnaise, red peppers, chives, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a small mixing bowl. We recommend chilling the aioli until ready to serve.

Once you’ve sufficiently baked the crab cakes, take them out of the oven and place them onto a serving tray. Garnish each crab cake with a tablespoon of the aioli.
